What happens when an extreme sport enthusiast can't get relief from his injuries? He collaborates with engineers, exercise/rehab professionals, and creates Twist Resist, and now TWIST RESIST is here for you.
Twist Resist was developed by an adrenaline seeking, dirt bike racing, Kung Fu artist named Aaron Walker who had to quit his sports due to physical pain from injuries. He refused the pain medications, and turned to physical therapy and Tai Chi for relief. The relief he found in those things was minimal, but the principles were similar: STRENGTHEN THE ROTATION.
In order to get the true competition level strength he wanted, Aaron went on a quest to develop his own tools to strengthen rotation. After brain storming sessions with engineers, therapists, athletic trainers, and strength coaches, the ideal machine was mapped out. Over 7 years, prototypes were designed and welded in the garage. Twist Resist finally emerged from a heap of steel scraps and is now ready to make athletes what they were born to be- INDESTRUCTIBLE.
Imagine being able to pivot so hard that the turf tears beneath your cleats rather than your ACL tearing, or being able to rotate your hips and spine so powerfully that you sprint faster than you ever have, all without pain or injury- a kinetic chain with only strong links. This can be your reality.
Why is the Twist Resist multi-function system so much more effective than other tools? From a functional standing position, Twist Resist gives Circular Resistance for any body motion, which provides complete activation of the kinetic chain. Cables, bands, and even gravity give only linear resistance. Turns out, there is a huge difference! You need circular resistance for circular motions. Period. And the body is made of circles.
So stop using linear resistance for circular motions and switch to Twist Resist. Your orthopedic surgeon might lose some business, but you will be glad you found your STRENGTH WITH A TWIST, and that is something valuable worth sharing with your friends and clients.

Weight bearing exercise has traditionally left out the rotational aspect of human motion. We lift weights with flexion and extension all the time. When it comes to rotation, supination, and pronation- we tend to forget or even realize that the motion can be isolated. This may be the reason why many people who are active end up with injuries such as a torn rotator cuff in the shoulder or limited hip rotation, which then leads to knee or ankle injuries.
It is time that rotation gets the proper attention that it deserves. With additional strength in these vulnerable areas- who knows how much more an athlete can perform, or how much better a person will rehabilitate an injury?
Aaron Walker, founder of Twist Resist, was an extreme athlete once upon a time racing dirt bikes. With multiple injuries, attending physical rehab was a part of life. The Theraband and manual manipulation were not enough to rehabilitate the injuries back to game ready condition, and so the sport was dropped. Necessity is the mother of all invention; so he went to work to create what he needed- and mechanical ingenuity took over. The early concepts of Twist Resist were born. With countless feedback sessions with personal trainers and physical therapists, Twist Resist came to be what it is today,- an all-in-one weight bearing exercise device that is completely unlike anything you’ve seen. What’s the difference? Torque resistance!
Most exercise platforms offer linear resistance with a cable, band, or gravity. Linear resistance is not effective for completely activating a circular motion because you need circular resistance or torque (aka centripetal force). This torque force gives you complete muscle activation throughout the range of motion- think of a leg extension machine as compared to leg extensions with a cable.
Twist Resist offers exercises for over 80 different motions, all with the correct type of resistance throughout the range! There are no dead zones in the range of motion where the force drops off like you experience with a cable machine. The force on Twist Resist is always acting directly against your range of motion- not in some arbitrary direction like with a band. Imagine a weight bearing, standing spine rotation exercise- and you don’t get yourself all caught up in the cable!
Information on Twist Resist is proprietary, and therefore images and videos are not available publicly. We are looking to collaborate with research institutions in order to further scientifically prove and document the effects Twist Resist has on the body, and compare it to traditional methods. We believe that scientific evaluations are the best way to validate what has been created so carefully and with extensive collaboration.
Please reach out to us for more information about potential collaboration on research. This is the only way we can have true innovation penetrate the industry. Together, we can help people live more well rounded and active lives- with less pain!

Research is best done by a third party who can be objective. We would love to do our own research; but to be honest- we are best at innovating, prototyping, and manufacturing! Maybe you are the one who is great at EMG studies, or creating user manuals which are based on biomechanics, functional goals, or post-operative protocols. We would love the opportunity to provide you with one of our machines for an approved research study! Reach out today and let’s talk about what it is that we have here, and how we can work together on research!
We would love to provide more details about Twist Resist, it’s functions, and exactly how it is different from anything you’ve seen.
